About Nik...
Nik Wilcox is a comedian, writer and an actor. A small-town boy from Springfield, Missouri, Nik moved to Los Angeles to study acting at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts West. He has performed in many leading theatrical roles such as Jeffrey (Mid-West Regional premier production of “Jeffrey”) and Liberace (West Coast premier production of “An Evening with Liberace”). His credits also include numerous independent films and shorts.
Nik found his true calling in comedy, though. Stand up Comedy! Like so many of his contemporaries, Nik was the quintessential class clown. Often the bane of his teacher's existence, Nik was prone to acting out and causing disruptions of laughter and general mayhem among his classmates . Although he often frustrated and angered his teachers there was always a glimmer of a hidden smile and a trace of restrained laughter behind their furrowed brows and flared nostrils. Most of Nik's childhood memories involve trips to the principal's office, spending day after mind-numbing day in detention and endlessly "writing sentences" as punishment for his tomfoolery. By all accounts, it seemed a hopeless cause for this young man. Little did he or they know, one day these deviant antics would serve him well as virtues in a career of comedy.
Nik has has the esteemed honor of having written jokes for living legend Joan Rivers on E! network's Fashion Police. He is a podcast personality and the host of “I, Wilcox” on Dign2itRadio.com. You can also find Nik hosting “BEYOND THE RAINBOW,” San Fernando Valley’s preeminent LGBT stand up comedy show which he produces every second and fourth Sunday at Flapper’s Comedy Club in Burbank, CA. He also performs throughout Los Angeles at noted clubs such as Laugh Factory and The World Famous Comedy Store.
Nik’s unique style of humor has been described as "kind, sincere, filthy and inspirational". Whether it's theater, film, or cracking jokes in front of a mic, Nik Wilcox loves to perform and never fails to entertain the audiences.
